August & September 2012

 Scotlyn Arline turned 9 on August 27. She had a Justin Bieber birthday party at Leo's Place and had lots of friends attend. Her nana made her a peach cobbler for her birtday dinner dessert.  Her birthday meal was chicken melanasas with garlic cheese rice which is her favorite!!!!

 

 First day of school 2012: Scotlyn is in 4th grade and her teacher is Mrs. Mikkelson, Parker is in Preschool and his teacher is Ms. Joanie, Cooper is Preschool and his teacher is Ms. Barbara. They all attend Snake River Montessori School.

 

 We took a trip to Seattle with Matt one weekend.

 Grandma Ramsey came out from Iowa with Bonnie & Steve and stayed for about 3 days. Grandma and Grandpa Mikkelson were also able to come up from Souther Utah for the visit.

Jackson, WY - August 7, 2012

 My mom and I took the kids to Jackson for the day and we rode the Alpine Sled at Snow King. You had to ride a chair lift to the top of the mountain where the sleds were waiting.  Scotlyn got to go down 3 times and the boys two. They all loved it so much that they wanted to spend the whole day there. We went into town and had lunch then made hour and a half trip back home.

Lagoon and the Devil Dash, August 3-4, 2012

 A bunch of us girls signed up to do the Devil Dash obstacle course in Ogden, Utah on August 4. I decided to make a fun weekend out of it and take Scotlyn to Lagoon the Friday before. We met Auntie Sarah there and had a blast going on all the roller coasters.

The obstacle they included in the race were a mud crawl with barb wire over head, grave pits dug out and filled with mud and water, a spiders web net that you had to roll over and many other challenging things. We all completed the race, some faster than others, but all had a great time.

Air Force One

 I was able to get away with Matt for a day while he had a trip to Seattle. After we flew in, a few hours later, President Obama flew into the same airport and was parked near where we were. The airport was closed down but we were able to sneak a couple of pics for Scotlyn.
