Making Glow in the Dark Bubbles!!!

Auntie Sarah and the kids tried to make glow in the dark bubbles. It was more of a disaster than a success, but the kids had a great time. We turned off the lights to clean up because our kitchen glowed everywhere. Luckily, it cleaned up easily. Glow stick juice was everywhere!!!!

Scotlyn gave a report at school on the California Gold Rush and John Sutter. She did a very nice job and built a beautiful diorama to go with it.

Thank you for the good times Olē, RIP...

This sweet, loving, sometimes pain in my butt came into our lives when Scotlyn was just 3 years old. He was 2 months when Matt brought him home from Hurricane in a black little crate. He cried and whined all night long those first couple of weeks, just like our babies did. Scotlyn loved on him so much. We couldn't decide on his name and Olë was easy to say. We had toyed with the name Oreo, but in the end, Olē stuck. He enjoyed sleeping between Matt's legs at night and Scotlyn on the floor sometimes. It wasn't a nice surprise the few times he'd thrown up in our bed and I was unaware until later in the morning, but he was a good companion and he loved his family. We found out he had a tumor in his lung on Feb. 11, 2014 and that he needed to be put to sleep. So on February 13, 2014 our sweet beloved Olē left us. He will be missed by all of us who dearly loved him.
