Parker Graduates from SRMS!!

Parker graduated from his elementary school on Wednesday, May 20. He was lucky to spend his last 12 years at that school. He didn't get the ending of the year that he had hoped for, but it ended up being ok. In March, there was a pandemic, Covid-19, that made its way to the US from China and it caused schools and businesses to close for almost 3 months. Students stopped going into schools on March 18 and all teachers had to do distant learning with their students until May. It wasn't awful, but I wouldn't want to do it again next year. The boys and Scotlyn all had work they needed to complete each day; which was kind of hard to do at home. Matt's nursing classes also took place online. Finally, the middle of May, the Governor started to allow stores and businesses to open back up. Parker's graduation almost didn't happen because some people didn't agree with us holding it. In the end, we went ahead and held the small graduation. It was a nice closure for all students and parents. In Parker's graduating class he had: Jayden Nielsen, Nico Aagesen, Tess Eddington, Alexa Case, Venessa Henderson, Sive Nowak, and Lille Worley. His second cousin, Robert, also was graduating from 6th grade in California. They couldn't hold their graduation at all so we sent him a congratulatory picture.

Sarah & Georgia Visit!!

Sarah & Georgia came for a short visit right before Mother's Day. Sarah had bought a new Jeep and she needed to pick it up. We had a great visit and enjoyed them being here. We went to Reed's Dairy and were able to go to some stores. Most of the stores were still closed down from Covid-19. The parks and places for kids were all closed, but we made our own fun!!

We'll Always be Her Biggest Fan!!
