One Big Donut!!

We decided to get donuts for breakfast one morning. The boys noticed this huge donut sitting in the case. I told them that they could get it but would have to share and they agreed. It was one yummy donut!!!

Comic Con!!

Matt and I took the boys to Comic Con in Salt Lake City on Friday, September 1. None of us had ever been and decided that since it was so close, we'd give it a try. We also knew that Danny Trejo, who is an actor, was going to be there. We had found out a few years back that he and my biological father were half brothers. The boys thought it was a lot of fun. This is definitely for die hard comic book fans; which we are not. We did get to meet Danny. He, of course, knew my dad and gave me a hug and took a picture. I'm sure he thought I was some stranger who maybe was stalking him. We didn't get a chance to visit hardly at all because he was so busy and it's kind of hard to "catch up" with someone after almost 40 years of not knowing each other. The boys think that it is really cool that he is technically their half uncle.

First Day of School!!

First day of School for the loves of my life!! Scotlyn started 8th grade at Eagle Rock Junior High School. She totally rocked 7th grade and is ready for another great year!! She's already taking her high school courses early with US History and Photography under her belt. I couldn't be more proud of this kid!! She continues to run on the cross country team and will start track in the fall. She isn't sure if she wants to be a cheerleader again. We'll have to wait and see what this year has in store for her. Parker started 3rd grade at Snake River Montessori and is in Mrs. McJunkin and Ms. Elizabeth's class. He is also ready for another great year. Cooper started 2nd grade at Snake River Montessori and is in Mrs. Gihring and Mrs. Winterholler's class. I am so happy that all my children love going to school and love learning. I also started my 11th year teaching at Snake River Montessori in the Upper Elementary class. We are all ready to have a wonderful year learning lots of new stuff.
