Scotlyn is Free!!
On Friday, February 22, Scotlyn received her driver's license! She was so excited that she finally gets to drive herself places without Mom & Dad (except after dark until she is 16). She had to take the written test 2 times, but she passed the driver's test the 1st time. She now gets to drive herself to and from school without having to wait for anyone to make her late or early.
100 Days of School!!
On February 15, 2019, the boys (and I) had been in school for 100 days. Every year, we do a writing project where the kids have to write about what their life would look like if they were 100 years old. Both boys wrote great stories that were very entertaining. We also take their pictures using an app and then those accompany their stories in our school hallway.
2018/2019 School Year...
I am a little late at posting the kid's school pictures. I can't believe how fast the time is going by with these kids becoming such awesome human beings!!! I am so proud of the young people that they are becoming. Scotlyn is a sophomore at Skyline High School. She has held a 3.8-3.9 GPA since she left SRMS. She is currently taking a tumbling class in preparation to try out for cheerleading. She has decided to not run track this year, and is hoping to get a job and take more online courses to have her first year of college complete by the time she graduates high school.
Parker is a 5th grader at Snake River Montessori. He has a great group of friends and is well liked. He has taking a real liking to baseball so that is where we are keeping him for now. He is a great helper around the house!!
Cooper is a 4th grader at Snake River Montessori and is also very well liked. He likes to push the limits more than his brother, but I love how spontaneous he is. He is such a happy kid and is always willing to try something new. He is also very kind, especially to younger kids.
Science Fair Projects 1/30/19
Parker and Cooper both participated in our school's annual science fair. Somehow we only got pictures of Coop doing his project. Parker's was equally good and he put a lot of effort into his as well. Cooper wanted to show how smoke damages the lungs and Parker tested 7 different battery brands in flashlights. They both did an awesome job presenting to their audiences and loved every minute of it.
