All Things Graduation!!!

I have 3 graduates this year: Cooper (6th grade from Snake River Montessori on May 26), Scotlyn (12th grade from Skyline High School on June 3), and Matt (College of Eastern Idaho RN School on May 11). I am so proud them. Scotlyn has decided to go to Dixie University in St. George, Utah. Matt will be working in the ICU at Idaho Falls Community Hospital, and Cooper will be going to Eagle Rock Junior High School. It's a big year for all of us!

 

Cooper turns 12!! 4/20/21

 

Our "Coop" turned the big 12 on April 20. When this kid is around, he is always making you laugh or pulling your hair out! He loves YouTube, his Play Station, is becoming more adventurous when eating foods, likes to annoy his older brother and sister, loves to help mom cook in the kitchen, likes to ride dirt bikes, plays football, is currently raising a pig for 4H, loves to go the skatepark, has many friends, and makes friends wherever he goes, loves his momma, and is really a sensitive kid at heart. We can't imagine our life without him. 

For his birthday this year, he had to go to school, but it was 6th grade senior picture day, so he didn't have to do as much work. I was able to take the 6th graders for hot chocolate and cake pops afterwards. Then we went to dinner with The Robisons at Texas Roadhouse for dinner. His big present was an Oculus; which is in in love with. 

 

Mr. Skyline 2021!!

Scotlyn's boyfriend, Karsen Jensen, tried out for Mr. Skyline this year. This is an annual senior contest put on by the cheerleaders. The cheerleaders perform, decorate, and accompany a boy for the competition. The boys have to perform a dance taught to them by the cheerleaders, come up with an entertainment act, answer a question, and use their best pick up line. Karsen didn't win, but they sure looked cute! 

 

Easter 2021!!

Easter was very quiet this year. We stayed in town and celebrated the holiday with our dear friends, the Robisons. We spent the day riding dirt bikes and hanging out. Adrian and Cooper are raising pigs for 4H so they also spent the day building a pig pen for them to live in. We made prime rib, cauliflower mac & cheese, rolls, and green beans for our dinner. 

 

Spring Break 2021!!

For Spring Break this year, Scotlyn and I decided to take a trip to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Mandalay Bay, but couldn't really enjoy the beach/pool area too much because it was so cold and windy the week we were there. Scotlyn's friend's family was also staying there so she and Addi got to hang out a bit. We met them at the mall and the girls bought cute graduation "Build a Bears". We did a food tour that consisted of walking to 5 different restaurants and trying their "signature" dishes. We had truffle mac & cheese, fried chicken, bacon wrapped hot dogs, Mexican street corn, a chocolate sundae, empanadas, sweetish meatballs, and meatloaf (not our favorite). We also tried a "Blackout" dining experience. We ate dinner at a restaurant that was completely dark inside. It was a 6 course vegan/plant based meal that was delicious. We both said we would do it again. We walked a lot, and shopped a lot. It was a nice week of being able to enjoy each other's company. Jen was able to drive up from St. George to spend the day with us. We went to Sugar Factory that night for dinner and ordered one of their signature drinks; which I broke a tooth/crown on because the gummy watermelon had frozen so hard from the dry ice. It was a great time and our boys were happy to have us home!
