For Thanksgiving this year, we traveled to Elko, NV to visit my mom & dad, Sarah, Jason, and Georgia. We had a great time making a lot of food, Black Friday shopping, playing board games, and watching Frozen 2. Georgia got a new dog named Jack that she loves to snuggle. He's super cute, but pees every where!!! We came home on Saturday, November 30.
Our class celebrated "World Kindness Day" by wearing our #imkinderthanthat shirts. We wanted to promote that we do our best every day to show kindness to others both in and out of the classroom.
November 1-4, Erin and I took our annual "Friend" vacation. This year, it was to Las Vegas, NV. We stayed at the Venetian Hotel; which was beautiful, ate a lot of really good food, saw the Beatles Love Cirque de Soleil show, a "Friends" show parody, walked down Freemont Street, and enjoyed each other's company. Can't wait to do it again next year!!!
One of my students, Alexa, signed up for Scotlyn's cheerleading fundraiser. She performed at one of the nighttime games with all the Skyline cheerleaders.
This year, Scotlyn's boyfriend, Karsen Jensen, joined us to carve pumpkins. We listened to Halloween music and roasted pumpkin seeds. My co-teacher and I dressed up as Thing 1 & Thing 2 for our school carnival. Scotlyn and her friends dressed up as little devils. It was a nice, cold, and safe Halloween!
We have a great school photographer that let's me have all 3 kids together. Scotlyn (16) is in 11th grade at Skyline High School, Parker (11) is in 6th grade, Cooper (10) is in 5th, and they both attend Snake River Montessori School.
