7 Month Update on Matt...

We had a 6 month (actually 7 month) check up on Monday, August 12. We started out the day with a 7:30 am x-ray, followed up with an 8:00 am MRI. We met with the neurosurgeon, Dr. Cauldwell, at 11:00 am who told us that Matt's MRI was clean and he didn't expect to ever see him again. This was such great news!! He answered a few questions that Matt had, gave Matt a cd of the surgery, and sent us on our way.

We then had a 1:00 pm eye appointment at the Moran Eye Center with Dr. Crum. She looked at Matt's MRI and looked for swelling in the optic nerves and saw none of this. She tested his eyes for how much tear production he has in a 5 minute period (see pictures below), answered Matt's questions, and sent us on our way. We waited for an hour and a half and were with the doctor for maybe 20 minutes.

We had two great reports from the doctors and were very happy. He'll need to have an MRI in January for his FAA medical and hopefully be able to get it back to fly without another pilot. This brain tumor was a small detour in our lives, but it seems to be that we are back on track and on the right road again. What a blessing it has been to have the support from all our family and friends. Life is so great and we look forward to each day that we get to spend together.
